 FAQ

  • Where are you located?
I teach privately out of my home studio located near Bahama Beach in Panama City Beach. The address and directions to the studio will be provided upon scheduling the trial lesson.
  • What is the tuition fee?
Lesson fees are paid monthly at the first lesson of each month. Lesson fees are $30.00 per half hour lesson. Tuition fees include lessons, lesson materials, and access to workshops and jam sessions.
  • What instruments do you teach?
    Guitar, Bass, Ukulele.
  • Do I need my own instrument?
Yes! You develop during your practice time between lessons, if you can't practice at home, you will not have the skills required to move on to the new material. With that said, if you have an instrument, but due to circumstances, don't have it with you, then loaners are available at the studio for the lesson.
  • How much should I practice every week?
The simple answer is, "as much as possible". However, life tends to get in the way of all day marathon practice sessions with things like work, school, chores, etc. I'll help you build an effective practice routine that will maximize the time you have available to practice.
  • What is the studio make-up policy?
As your instructor, I want to see you each week to assess your development and catch any problem areas with your practicing or understanding of the material. To rescheudle your lesson, I require 48 hours notice prior to the lesson to be eligible for a make-up lesson. The make-up lesson must be taken before the end of the current month of lessons. To schedule a make-up, you can let me know the lesson before the upcoming week, or via email at jason@blueheronmusicstudio.com or call 850-758-1117. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are not eligible for a make up. No exceptions, please don't ask.
  • Do you offer military discounts?
Yes, we proudly support our military! Active and Retired military personel receive a 10% discount on tuition fees.
